Travel, Expenses and Administration 

• Travel time: £35 per hour, charged from the office base or agreed starting point. 

• Mileage: 55p per mile, in line with commonly used HMRC mileage rates. 

• Public transport, parking and accommodation: charged at cost with receipts where available. 

• Document review, chronology preparation and professional liaison: charged at the applicable hourly rate. 

• Printing, secure postage and courier costs: charged at cost where required. 

Payment Terms 

• A written quote or estimate will be provided before work begins. 

• A booking deposit of £250 may be required for assessment packages. 

• For fixed-fee assessments, 50% is usually payable on instruction and the balance before the final report is released. 

• Hourly work is invoiced monthly or at agreed milestones. 

• Payment is due within 14 days unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

Fee Review and Notes 

• Fees are reviewed annually and may be updated to reflect changes in professional guidance, market conditions, registration, insurance, travel and operating costs 

• Payment for these services must not be made by, or on behalf of, a person who lacks the mental capacity to make that decision unless there is an appropriate person with legal authority to agree to the service and payment arrangements. This may include, where applicable, an attorney, deputy, appointee, litigation friend, authorised representative, or other person or organisation with lawful authority to act.
